Until the mid-19th century, the Shaughnessy Village was the "Priests' Farm", belonging to the Sulpicians, owners of the island of Montreal. Then a lot was sold to become the western part of what was then called the Square Mile and what is today's downtown. Located between Westmount and the heart of downtown, a real student neighbourhood with the campuses of Concordia University and Dawson College as its heart, the Shaughnessy Village represents all of the glory of the Victorian days, the transformation of the 1960's and 1970's and the current change in Montreal's central neighbourhoods. Come discover an unknown neighbourhood in walks of 60 to 150 minutes.
